 High School Bio:

            Vest set a state record for touchdown passes in a career when he tossed 76 for Daleville. He led the War Hawks to a perfect 15-0 record and the Class 4A state championship his junior season. As a senior he led the team to a 12-2 record, losing to North Jackson in the finals. Jake completed 117 of 226 passes for 1,881 yards with 30 touchdowns as a senior. As a junior he completed 115 of 208 passes for 2,397 yards and 33 touchdowns.

Hazlewood won five consecutive state championships from 1988-1992. During this span the Golden Bears won 29 playoff games in a row.
