            Cochran accounted for 1,238 yards of total offense, scored 12 touchdowns and 16 extra points as a senior at Cherokee. He played varsity football four years and his athletic honors include captain of his squad, All-State two years, AII-Tri-County three years, and National High School All-America. He also played basketball.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The Tuscaloosa Black Bears were considered one of the best programs in the nation from 1925-1931. Their record over that span was an amazing 61-0-3.
