On the right is a list of years for the various polls we currently have posted. At the top is a checklist of the rankings currently on file. Others will be added as they become available.

Several different services have produced polls over the years including the Associated Press, the Alabama Sports Writers Association, United Press International, The Mobile Press, The Birmingham Herald, The Alabama Journal and other newspapers. The Alabama Sports Writers Association began publishing weekly polls in 1960.

An interesting related item are the USA Today National Rankings. These polls were first published in 1982 and have continued annually. Alabama has been represented recently by Hoover and in 2006 with Prattville making an appearance. Below is a list of the teams making the USA Today Poll.
