Gordo and Reform are just eight miles apart so it is natural these two teams would face off each season in one of the better rivalries in the state. Although the schools are small they still want nothing more than to beat the other team each season. The Green Wave lead the series 49-39-3 that began in 1920 when the two schools first played each other on the football field. The score to that first game has not been found to date. Except for a few years the teams generally play in the last game of each season.
