Game: Played Friday December 1, 1967 at Clanton
Summary: Ben Young caught three touchdown passes from quarterback Ricky Strawbridge
in the first half to lead Lamar County over Jemison for the
first ever Class 2A state playoff championship. James Wilson
would score a pair of touchdowns on runs of 8 and 10 yards and
Rex Lacy and Glenn Butler added a touchdown each for the
Bulldogs.
Burt Hawkins accounted for all seven extra points for
Lamar County as he kicked 6 of them and passed to Wilson for the
other. Mike Woodley scored the Panther's lone touchdown on an 18
yard run in the fourth period.
