Summary: Marion County won the Class 1A
state championship by defeating Valley Head 38-21. Terry Franks
passed for two touchdowns and ran for another score for Marion
County. Keith Cox also scored on a two yard run and kicked a 43
yard field goal for Marion County. The championship was the
second consecutive for the Red Raiders.
