Summary:
              
The home town Carrollton Indians would coast to a 33-6 victory over Zion Chapel and lock up the 1974 Class 1A state championship. Henry Binion would rumble for 271 yards rushing on 27 carries and score five touchdowns in the easy win. This would be the Indians first state title after losing in the semi-finals the past two seasons.
               This would be Zion Chapel's first title game in two playoff appearances.
