Game: Played Friday December 5, 1975 at Ranburne
Summary: Ranburne, led by Roger Kimbrell's
90 yard rushing performance, won their first state title by
defeating Sweet Water 22-7. Sweet Water would get on the
scoreboard early after a 93 yard 14 play drive.
Ranburne would
come back to score a touchdown with 1:52 showing on the clock
before halftime after a 44 yard, five play drive. In the second
half Ranburne would keep the ball on the ground and score twice
more for the final 22-7 margin. It was Sweet Water's second trip
the the championship game with similar results as they also lost
the 1969 title game.
For Ranburne, it would be their first title
in their fifth playoff appearance.
