Summary:

Berry's defense held Walker in tack most of the game and walked away with a 21-0 win for the Buccaneers in their second championship game appearance. They lost to Lee of Montgomery in 1969 in their only other shot at the title. On offense the Bucs were led by all-state performer Bart Krout who scored the first two touchdowns for Berry.
Walker was led by sophomore sensation Linnie Patrick at halfback who carried the ball 21 times for 105 yards but was held out of the end zone. Brian Blankenship led Berry with 103 yards rushing on 25 carries.
The Berry defense dropped Vikings quarterback for a total of 41 yards in losses. The title game appearance was a first for Walker after making their first ever playoff appearance just last season.
