Summary:
          Hazlewood fell behind 9-0 in the second quarter and played from behind most of the night. Pierre Goode accounted for every Hazlewood point and rushed for 121 yards as the Golden Bears won their fifth overall title and third in five seasons.
          Late in the second quarter, Chris Mitchell returned a punt 35 yards to the Autaugaville 30 yard line to set up the first Hazlewood score. In five plays, the Bears scored on a 5-yard run by Goode with 1:46 left in the first half.
          In the second half, Hazlewood held the Eagles to minus three yards rushing. The Golden Bears took the lead on their first drive in the third period. Goode dashed in from the 3 yard line to put Hazlewood up 15-9. The Eagles came right back with a 62 yard pass from Irvin Smith to Johnny Johnson to the Bears 12. Kerry Pickett scored on a short run and Autaugaville led 16-15 with 5:40 remaining in the third.
          With 7:31 remaining in the game, Goode scored on a 2 yard run to give the Bears a hard-fought 23-16 win.
