Summary:
              The Hazlewood Golden Bears blanked New Brockton 28-0 Friday night to win their Sixth State title overall and fourth of the 1980s. Tarrant Lynch ran for two touchdowns and Antonio Langham ran 82 yards for another score to lead Hazlewood. Lynch ran 14 yards for a score in the second quarter and 1 yard for the other touchdown in the third quarter. 
              Tim Smith passed to Jason Russell for Hazlewood's other touchdown. This was the Gamecocks fourth playoff appearance and the first past the second round.

The Super 6 State Championships began in 1996. Since then all title games were played at Legion Field in Birmingham until 2009.
