Summary:
            Briarwood Christian simply had too many weapons for Randolph County in pounding the Tigers 56-14. Robert Grant ran for 194 yards and three touchdowns on only 10 carries.
            Tim Castille caught a 61 yard touchdown pass and scores on a 68 yard punt return. Castille, an eighth grader, finished with 5 receptions for 121 yards.

Morris Higginbotham coached three different teams to divisional state championships in the 1950s. He won titles at Walnut Grove in 1952, West Blocton in 1955 and Enterprise in 1960.
