Summary: In the Class 3A championship game the Briarwood Lions rolled to a convincing 55-19 rout of Lincoln.
Jason Ogletree ran for four touchdowns and 91 yard rushing. The
Lions would capitalize on three Lincoln fumbles and two shanked
punts to win their second consecutive title. Briarwood would
lead 28-12 at the half before Ogletree scored twice in the third
quarter to put the game away for the Lions.
Jeff Flannery would
lead the Lions at quarterback by completing 11 of 15 passes for
131 yards. Lincoln was making their first ever title game
appearance in ten trips to the playoffs.
