Coaches: Jimmie Moore, Colbert County and Wade Streeter, Aliceville
Game: Played Saturday December 9, 2000 at Legion Field, Birmingham
Summary:
Kendall Gibson ran wild over the Colbert County Indians gaining a whopping 289 yards rushing in a 50-7 rout for the 3A state crown.
Gibson also scored five touchdowns for the 15-0 top-ranked Yellow Jackets. The win deprived Colbert County of their seventh state title and gave Aliceville

1996 while scoring on runs of 27, 44, 46, 9 and 3 yards.
Aliceville also scored on a 43 yard punt return by Marvin Sommerville and an 11 yard pass from Taurus Sommerville to
Donnell Taylor.
The Indians scored their only points in the
second quarter on a 36 yard pass from Lazarus Peters to Richard
Bates.
