Summary:
Hokes Bluff claimed the first state championship in
school history by dismantling Tarrant 23-0 at Legion Field in
Birmingham. Junior quarterback Jake Ball scored twice, Jonathan Denson booted a 32-yard field goal, Brandon Harcrow returned an interception for a touchdown and the Eagles shut out Tarrant 23-0 to claim the Class 3A championship.
Hokes Bluff scored 16 points in
the final quarter after nursing a 7-0 lead for the first three
periods. A field goal and a Brandon Hargrow 42 yard interception
return sealed the victory for the Eagles.
