Clements completed the 2021 season with a 4-7 record. With their 3-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 3A region eight, the Colts earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Clements's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Winfield by a score of 62-14. The 319 points scored by the Colts last year were a team record in a single season. The Colts last playoff victory came during the 1988 season. They would love to break through this year with a post season win. Clements struggled on the defensive side of the football last year. The defense found little success in stopping opposing offenses as they gave up an average of 37.6 points a game. Since 2010, the Clements football program has struggled with a record of 31-92. Over the past 25 seasons, Clements has not won much with a record of 74-183. Their 29.0% winning percentage ranks 54th in Class 3A and 356th in the AHSAA. The Colts have struggled on the football field with only four winning seasons during this time. The Colts are led by head coach Michael Parker who is entering his fifth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 17-26 over the past four seasons at Clements. Under his direction the Colts have qualified for the playoffs a total of three times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Parker. Coach Parker's overall record as a head football coach in eight season stands at 31-53 (36.9%). Over the course of his career, Coach Parker's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of four times . The Clements Colts will play in Class 3A region eight during the 2022 season. Clements will face six opponents that reached the playoffs last season. With a little luck and some improvement, the Colts could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region eight this season. The Colts open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent Holly Pond on Friday, August 19 at M.T. Newman Stadium. Last year the Holly Pond Broncos finished with an overall record of 3-7 and in seventh place in Class 3A region six. The Broncos closed out the regular season with a loss to Fairview by a score of 57-16. Clements and Holly Pond have met a total of 2 times on the football field. The Colts have a 2-0-0 record against the Broncos. They last met in with Clements returns 3A All-State Senior linebacker Brady Moore.
