Pinson Valley completed the 2021 season with a 9-4 record. With their 4-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 6A region six, the Indians earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Pinson Valley lost in the quarter-finals of the playoffs last season to a good Mountain Brook team by a score of 30-0. Over the past two seasons the Indians have gone 21-6 and will be looking to continue that winning tradition. Since 2010, Pinson Valley has gone a combined 108-42. Their 72.0% winning percentage ranks 10th in Class 6A over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Pinson Valley has managed to compile a record of 174-115. Their 60.0% winning percentage ranks 19th in Class 6A and 92nd in the AHSAA. The Indians will be under the direction of new head football coach Lee Guess as they enter the 2022 season. Coach Guess was the offensive coordinator for the Indians in 2021. The Pinson Valley Indians will play in Class 6A region six during the 2022 season. The Indians will be in the mix for one of the last two playoff spots in region six this season. They have qualified for the playoffs every year since 2009 and are hopeful to continue that streak in 2022. The Indians open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Florence on Friday, August 19 at Braly Municipal Stadium. Last year the Florence Falcons finished with an overall record of 5-6 and in third place in Class 7A region four. The Falcons lost in the first round of the Class 7A playoffs to Thompson by a score of 49-10. Pinson Valley and Florence have met a total of 3 times on the football field. The Indians have a 2-1-0 record against the Falcons. They last met in 2017 with Pinson Valley winning by a score of 45-20. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
