 2022 Preview 


       Prattville completed the 2021 season with a 7-4 record. With their 4-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 7A region two, the Lions earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Prattville's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Theodore by a score of 30-26.

       Since 2010, Prattville has gone a combined 84-48. Their 63.6% winning percentage ranks 9th in Class 7A over the past twelve seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Prattville has gone a combined 226-75. Their 75.0% winning percentage ranks 3rd in Class 7A and 16th in the AHSAA. The Lions have been successful on the football field with twenty-two winning seasons during this time.




       The Lions are led by head coach Jason Wallace who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 7-4 record in his first season at Prattville. Under his direction the Lions have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Wallace.

       Coach Wallace's overall record as a head football coach in seven season stands at 40-38 (51.3%). Over the course of his career, Coach Wallace's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of five times and won one region championship.

       The Prattville Lions will play in Class 7A region two during the 2022 season.

       Region two will be one of the most competitive regions in any classification this season. The Lions will be in the mix for one of the last two playoff spots in region two this season.

       The Lions open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent Foley on Friday, August 19 at Stanley Jenson Stadium. Last year the Foley Lions finished with an overall record of 5-5 and in fifth place in Class 7A region one. The Lions ended last season on a positive note with a win over Alma Bryant by a score of 37-0 after failing to gain a playoff spot.

       Prattville and Foley have met a total of 9 times on the football field. The Lions have a 7-2-0 record against the Lions. They last met in 2019 with Prattville winning by a score of 39-0.
