Cedar Bluff completed the 2021 season with a 6-5 record. Last year Cedar Bluff captured the region seven title and a number one seed in the Class 1A playoffs. They finished region play with a 6-0 record. Cedar Bluff's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Woodland by a score of 28-20. Since 2010, Cedar Bluff has gone a combined 90-49. Their 64.7% winning percentage ranks 12th in Class 1A over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Cedar Bluff has gone a combined 202-96. Their 68.0% winning percentage ranks 8th in Class 1A and 47th in the AHSAA. The Tigers have been successful on the football field with twenty-one winning seasons during this time. The Tigers are led by head coach Alan Beckett who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 6-5 record in his first season at Cedar Bluff. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs once. They have won one region crown with Coach Beckett. Coach Beckett's overall record as a head football coach in fourteen season stands at 83-66 (55.7%). Over the course of his career, Coach Beckett's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of eight times and won three region championships. The Cedar Bluff Tigers will play in Class 1A region seven during the 2022 season. The Tigers enter the 2022 season having won 11 straight region games. The Tigers should be considered one of the favorites for the region seven championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs. The Tigers have successfully qualified for the playoffs every year since 2013 and expect to be included again when November rolls around. The Tigers open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent Winterboro on Friday, August 19 at Bruce Field. Last year the Winterboro Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 7-5 and in second place in Class 1A region five. The Bulldogs lost in the second round of the Class 1A playoffs to Pickens County by a score of 38-16. Cedar Bluff and Winterboro have met a total of 3 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 2-1-0 record against the Bulldogs. They last met in 2004 with Cedar Bluff winning by a score of 35-26. Cedar Bluff returns 1A All-State Senior offensive lineman Dylan Kinard.
