 2024 Preview 


       The Ellwood Christian Eagles will field a football team for the first time this fall. They will be led by head football coach Gerral Pinkston as they prepare for their initial season on the gridiron. The Eagles have struggled on the football field with no winning seasons during this time.

Season Outlook:

       The Ellwood Christian Eagles will play in Class 1A region four during the 2024 season. The Eagles will have a difficult time competing in Class 1A with a young team in their initial season.

      

       The Eagles enter the 2024 season in the middle of a 20 game losing streak. They would like nothing better than to end the string of losses early in the season.

      

    This season, the Eagles will be a long shot for one of the four playoff spots in region four.

Season Opener:
       The Eagles open the 2024 season at home against non-region opponent LaFayette on Friday, August 23 at Memorial Stadium. Last year the LaFayette Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 1-8 and in seventh place in Class 2A region three.

       This will be the second meeting between Ellwood Christian and LaFayette on the football field. The Eagles have a 0-1-0 record against the Bulldogs. They last met in with
