 2024 Preview 


       Midfield finished the 2023 season with a disappointing 3-5 record. Last year Midfield just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 3A region five with a 2-4 region record.

       Since 2010, Midfield has gone a combined 70-72. Their 49.3% winning percentage ranks 32nd in Class 3A over the past fourteen seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Midfield has managed to compile a record of 147-121. Their 55.0% winning percentage ranks 21st in Class 3A and 121st in the AHSAA.

Head Coach:
       The Patriots are led by head coach Rod Isaac who is entering his fourteenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 68-64 over the past thirteen seasons at Midfield. Under his direction the Patriots have qualified for the playoffs a total of nine times. They have won two region crowns with Coach Isaac.

Season Outlook:

       The Midfield Patriots will play in Class 3A region five during the 2024 season.

      

       The Patriots have been up and down the past few years since Covid shut them down in 2020. Can they win a few more games in Region 5 and get back to the playoffs in 2024?

    The Patriots will need to win a few more games this fall if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in region five this season.

Season Opener:
       The Patriots open the 2024 season on the road against non-region opponent Huffman on Friday, August 23 at Vikings Stadium. Last year the Huffman Vikings finished with an overall record of 0-10 and in seventh place in Class 6A region six.

       Midfield and Huffman have met a total of 3 times on the football field. The Patriots have a 1-2-0 record against the Vikings. They last met in 1993 with Huffman winning by a score of 24-21.
