High School Football Bowl Games
High School Football Bowl games were played around the state prior to the playoffs being implemented by the AHSAA in 1966. Some football bowl games continued even after the playoff games commenced. Most bowl games were tied to charities and became huge successes in many cities. The AHSAA would not allow teams to play more than ten games in a season so all participant had only played nine regular season games. Below are some of the football bowl games and their history.
