West Blocton completed the 2017 season with a 6-5 record. With their 4-3 region record and a third place finish in Class 4A region four, the Tigers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2017. The Panthers ended last season on a positive note with a win over Holt by a score of 60-6 after failing to gain a playoff spot. West Blocton and Brookwood have met a total of 69 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 37-29-3 record against the Panthers.
