Notasulga completed the 2017 season with a 5-6 record. With their 3-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 1A region three, the Blue Devils earned a spot in the playoffs in 2017. Notasulga's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Sweet Water by a score of 54-0. Notasulga took a step backwards last year with their first losing season since 2013. Since 2010, Notasulga has gone a combined 53-39. Their 58.0% winning percentage ranks 16th in Class 1A over the past eight seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Notasulga has managed to compile a record of 141-128. Their 52.0% winning percentage ranks 23rd in Class 1A and 166th in the AHSAA. The Blue Devils are led by head coach Anthony Jones who is entering his fourth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 21-14 over the past three seasons at Notasulga. Under his direction the Blue Devils have qualified for the playoffs a total of three times. The Blue Devils open the 2018 season at home against non-region opponent Barbour County on Thursday, August 23 at Blue Devils Stadium. Last year the Barbour County Jaguars finished with an overall record of 0-9 and in seventh place in Class 2A region two. The Jaguars closed out the regular season with a loss to Bullock County by a score of 54-6. Notasulga and Barbour County have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Blue Devils have a 4-0-0 record against the Jaguars. They last met in with Notasulga returns 1A All-State linebacker Jaheim Greer.
