Wadley completed the 2017 season with a 12-1 record. The Bulldogs cruised through the regular season with a perfect 9-0 record going into the post season. Last year Wadley captured the region four title and a number one seed in the Class 1A playoffs. They finished region play with a 6-0 record. Wadley made a nice playoff run in 2017, reaching the semi-finals before falling to a very good Sweet Water team by the score of 27-21. The Bulldogs won as many games as in any season since 2005. Last year the Woodland Bobcats finished with an overall record of 3-7 and in sixth place in Class 2A region five.
