Cleburne County completed the 2021 season with a 5-5 record. Last year Cleburne County just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 4A region four with a 2-4 region record. The Tigers improved in 2021 with their first winning season since 2015. The Tigers won as many games as in any season since 2015. Since 2010, Cleburne County has gone a combined 60-70. Their 57.0% winning percentage ranks 17th in Class 4A and 119th in the AHSAA. The Tigers are led by head coach Joby Burns who is entering his fourth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 10-20 over the past three seasons at Cleburne County. The Tigers have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Burns. Coach Burns' overall record as a head football coach in three season stands at 10-20 (33.3%). The Cleburne County Tigers will play in Class 4A region four during the 2022 season. The Tigers open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Mount Zion GA on Friday, August 19. Cleburne County and Mount Zion GA have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 2-2-0 record against Mount Zion GA. They last met in 1989 with Mount Zion GA winning by a score of 14-13.
