 2022 Preview 


       Fairview completed the 2021 season with a 12-2 record. With their 5-1 region record and a second place finish in Class 5A region seven, the Aggies earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Fairview made a nice playoff run in 2021, reaching the semi-finals before falling to a very good Pleasant Grove team by the score of 47-17.

       No team at Fairview ever won more games in a season than the twelve victories last year. The 584 points scored by the Aggies last year were a team record in a single season.

       The high-scoring Fairview offense ranked 14th in the AHSAA. They averaged 41.7 points a game.

       Over the past two seasons the Aggies have gone 22-4 and will be looking to continue that winning tradition. Since 2010, Fairview has gone a combined 81-51. Their 61.4% winning percentage ranks 17th in Class 5A over the past twelve seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Fairview has managed to compile a record of 138-129. Their 52.0% winning percentage ranks 22nd in Class 5A and 163rd in the AHSAA.




       The Aggies are led by head coach George Redding Jr. who is entering his sixteenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 101-63 over the past fifteen seasons at Fairview. Under his direction the Aggies have qualified for the playoffs a total of nine times. They have won one region crown with Coach Redding Jr..

       Coach Redding Jr.'s overall record as a head football coach in fifteen season stands at 101-63 (61.6%). His 101 wins rank 54th among active coaches in the AHSAA.

       The Fairview Aggies will play in Class 5A region eight during the 2022 season. Following realignment, the Aggies remain in 5A but move from region seven over to region eight.

       The Aggies enter the 2022 season riding a 7 game regular season winning streak.

       The Aggies should be considered one of the favorites for the region eight championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs. Don't be surprised if the Aggies are making another deep run into the playoffs.

       The Aggies open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Columbia on Thursday, August 18 at Milton Frank Stadium. Last year the Columbia Eagles finished with an overall record of 0-10 and in eighth place in Class 6A region eight.

       Fairview and Columbia have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Aggies have a 4-0-0 record against the Eagles. They last met in 2009 with Fairview winning by a score of 43-14.
