 2022 Preview 


       Priceville completed the 2021 season with a 10-2 record. With their 6-1 region record and a second place finish in Class 4A region eight, the Bulldogs earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Priceville reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to Madison Academy by a score of 35-7.

       No team at Priceville ever won more games in a season than the ten victories last year.

       Since 2010, Priceville has gone a combined 49-76. Their 39.2% winning percentage ranks 45th in Class 4A over the past twelve seasons.

       Over the past 20 seasons, Priceville has managed to compile a record of 78-121. Their 39.0% winning percentage ranks 47th in Class 4A and 295th in the AHSAA.




       The Bulldogs are led by head coach Chris Foster who is entering his fourth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 24-10 over the past three seasons at Priceville. Under his direction the Bulldogs have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Foster.

       Coach Foster's overall record as a head football coach in three season stands at 24-10 (70.6%).

       The Priceville Bulldogs will play in Class 4A region eight during the 2022 season.

       The Bulldogs enter the 2022 season riding a 7 game regular season winning streak. They have won 7 straight games on their home turf at Bulldog Stadium.

       The Bulldogs should be considered one of the favorites for the region eight championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs.

       The Bulldogs open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent Plainview on Friday, August 19 at Bulldog Stadium. Last year the Plainview Bears finished with an overall record of 7-4 and in fourth place in Class 3A region seven. The Bears lost in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs to Saks by a score of 46-43.

       Priceville and Plainview have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Bulldogs have a 1-3-0 record against the Bears. They last met in 2009 with Plainview winning by a score of 64-14.

       Priceville returns 4A All-State Senior linebacker Jake Langlois. He was named to the honorable mention team last season. The Bulldogs also return Senior running back Mason Cartee. He was named to the first team.

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
