 2022 Preview 


       Pleasant Home finished the 2021 season with a disappointing 1-9 record. Last year Pleasant Home finished seventh in Class 1A region one with a 1-6 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

       The offense struggled putting points on the score board as Pleasant Home averaged scoring just 11.4 points a game.

       The Eagles would prefer to forget the past two seasons as they have finished with a 2-17 record. Since 2010, Pleasant Home has gone a combined 36-87. Their 29.3% winning percentage ranks 50th in Class 1A over the past twelve seasons.

       Over the past 22 seasons, Pleasant Home has not won much with a record of 70-153. Their 31.0% winning percentage ranks 54th in Class 1A and 346th in the AHSAA. The Eagles have struggled on the football field with only four winning seasons during this time.




       The Eagles will be under the direction of new head football coach Cody Sellers as they enter the 2022 season.  Coach Watters served on the staff at Pleasant Home last season.

       Coach Sellers' overall record as a head football coach in three season stands at 9-20 (31.0%).

       The Pleasant Home Eagles will play in Class 1A region two during the 2022 season. Following realignment, the Eagles remain in 1A but move from region one over to region two.

       The Eagles enter the 2022 season in the middle of a 8 game losing streak. They would like nothing better than to end the string of losses early in the season.

       It will be an uphill battle for the Eagles if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in region two this season. After just a single win last year, Pleasant Home will be hopeful of winning a few more games this season.

       The Eagles open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent A.L. Johnson on Friday, August 19 at Pleasant Home Stadium. Last year the A.L. Johnson Eagles finished with an overall record of 0-9 and in sixth place in Class 1A region three. The Eagles closed out the regular season with a loss to Autaugaville by a score of 20-16.

Thomasville scored 54 points against Gulf Shores in the first quarter of a game in 2003. They managed to hang on for an 81-14 win.
