Tallassee completed the 2021 season with a 7-3 record. With their 5-1 region record and a third place finish in Class 5A region four, the Tigers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Tallassee's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Greenville by a score of 32-0. It marked the first time since the 2017 season that the Tigers qualified for the playoffs. Since 2010, Tallassee has gone a combined 83-49. Their 62.9% winning percentage ranks 14th in Class 5A over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Tallassee has managed to compile a record of 158-117. Their 58.0% winning percentage ranks 15th in Class 5A and 116th in the AHSAA. The Tigers are led by head coach Mike Battles Jr. who is entering his eleventh season at the helm. Last year the Reeltown Rebels finished with an overall record of 6-5 and in third place in Class 3A region four. The Rebels lost in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs to Opp by a score of 35-6. Tallassee and Reeltown have met a total of 20 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 10-10-0 record against the Rebels.
