Reeltown completed the 2021 season with a 6-5 record. With their 5-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 3A region four, the Rebels earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Reeltown's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Opp by a score of 35-6. Since 2010, Reeltown has gone a combined 101-44. Their 69.7% winning percentage ranks 6th in Class 2A over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Reeltown has gone a combined 207-101. Their 67.0% winning percentage ranks 5th in Class 2A and 58th in the AHSAA. The Rebels have been successful on the football field with twenty-one winning seasons during this time. Their last losing season was 2007. The Rebels are led by head coach Matt Johnson who is entering his seventh season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 45-25 over the past six seasons at Reeltown. Under his direction the Rebels have qualified for the playoffs a total of five times. They have won two region crowns with Coach Johnson. Coach Johnson's overall record as a head football coach in six season stands at 45-25 (64.3%). The Rebels will return about six starters on defense and five on offense. The Reeltown Rebels will play in Class 2A region three during the 2022 season. The Rebels may find the schedule slightly easier this season with the move down in classification from Class 3A to 2A. They will compete in region three this year. The Rebels should be in contention for a playoff spot in region three this season. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game. The Rebels open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Tallassee on Thursday, August 18 at J.E. Hot Obrien Stadium. Last year the Tallassee Tigers finished with an overall record of 7-3 and in third place in Class 5A region four. The Tigers lost in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs to Greenville by a score of 32-0. Reeltown and Tallassee have met a total of 20 times on the football field.
