 2022 Preview 


       Enterprise completed the 2021 season with a 8-4 record. With their 3-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 7A region two, the Wildcats earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Enterprise reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to Auburn by a score of 56-21.

       The 488 points scored by the Wildcats last year were a team record in a single season.

       The high-scoring Enterprise offense ranked 17th in the AHSAA. They averaged 40.7 points a game.

       Since 2010, Enterprise has gone a combined 65-65. Their 50.0% winning percentage ranks 18th in Class 7A over the past twelve seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Enterprise has managed to compile a record of 150-119. Their 56.0% winning percentage ranks 14th in Class 7A and 131st in the AHSAA.




       The Wildcats will be under the direction of new head football coach Ben Blackmon as they enter the 2022 season.  Coach Blackmon was the head football coach at Spanish Fort last season.

       Coach Blackmon's overall record as a head football coach in fifteen season stands at 129-52 (71.3%). His 129 wins rank 39th among active coaches in the AHSAA. Over the course of his career, Coach Blackmon's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of twelve times and won five region championships. Coach Blackmon won a state championship at Spanish Fort in 2015.

       The Enterprise Wildcats will play in Class 7A region two during the 2022 season.

       The Wildcats will be in the mix for one of the last two playoff spots in region two this season.

       The Wildcats open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent Bay Panama City FL on Friday, August 19 at Wildcat Stadium.

       Enterprise and Bay Panama City FL have met a total of 13 times on the football field. The Wildcats have a 8-5-0 record against Bay Panama City FL. They last met in 2021 with Enterprise winning by a score of 57-21.

       Enterprise returns 7A All-State  running back Amare Griffin. He was named to the honorable mention team last season. The Wildcats also return  running back Mykel Johnson. He was named to the first team.

  


Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The Super 6 State Championships began in 1996. Since then all title games were played at Legion Field in Birmingham until 2009.
