Dadeville completed the 2022 season with a 10-1 record. The Tigers cruised through the regular season with a perfect 9-0 record going into the post season. Last year Dadeville captured the region four title and a number one seed in the Class 3A playoffs. They finished region play with a 6-0 record. It was the first region championship for the Tigers since the 2013 season. Dadeville reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to Thomasville by a score of 15-14. The Tigers won as many games as in any season since 2013. The defense was very stingy last season as Dadeville ranked 4th in the AHSAA. The defense allowed only 9.3 points a game. Since 2010, Dadeville has gone a combined 95-51. Their 65.1% winning percentage ranks 12th in Class 3A over the past thirteen seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Dadeville has managed to compile a record of 173-107. Their 62.0% winning percentage ranks 13th in Class 3A and 79th in the AHSAA. The Tigers are led by head coach Roger McDonald who is entering his fourth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 22-9 over the past three seasons at Dadeville. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs a total of three times. They have won one region crown with Coach McDonald. His 110 wins rank 51st among active coaches in the AHSAA. Over the course of his career, Coach McDonald's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of ten times and won four region championships. The Tigers enter the 2023 season riding a 10 game regular season winning streak. Dadeville has won 8 consecutive region games. The Tigers are considered one of the favorites for the region four championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs. The Tigers open the 2023 season on the road against non-region opponent B.B. Comer on Friday, August 25 at Legion Stadium. Last year the B.B. Comer Tigers finished with an overall record of 12-3 and in first place in Class 2A region four. The Tigers lost in the Class 2A State Championship game last season when they were defeated by Fyffe. They final score was 40-28 in the Super Seven finals in Auburn. Dadeville and B.B. Comer have met a total of 20 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 9-10-1 record against the Tigers. They last met in 2022 with Dadeville winning by a score of 48-21. Dadeville lost 3A All-State defensive back Philstavious Dowdell to graduation.
