 2023 Preview 


       Minor completed the 2022 season with a 4-6 record. Last year Minor just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 6A region five with a 2-4 region record.

       Since 2010, Minor has gone a combined 72-67. Their 51.8% winning percentage ranks 30th in Class 6A over the past thirteen seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Minor has managed to compile a record of 159-118. Their 57.0% winning percentage ranks 25th in Class 6A and 111st in the AHSAA.




       The Tigers are led by head coach Adrian Abrams who is entering his sixth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 22-29 over the past five seasons at Minor. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs a total of three times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Abrams.

       The Tigers will need to win a few more games this fall if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in region five this season.

       The Tigers open the 2023 season on the road against non-region opponent Huffman on Thursday, August 24 at Vikings Stadium. Last year the Huffman Vikings finished with an overall record of 1-9 and in sixth place in Class 6A region six.

       Minor and Huffman have met a total of 9 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 7-2-0 record against the Vikings. They last met in 2022 with Minor winning by a score of 49-25.
