Vinemont completed the 2022 season with a 5-6 record. With their 3-3 region record and a third place finish in Class 3A region seven, the Eagles earned a spot in the playoffs in 2022. Vinemont's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Lauderdale County by a score of 41-7. The Eagles last playoff victory came during the 1993 season. They would love to break through this year with a post season win. Since 2010, Vinemont has gone a combined 49-84. Their 36.8% winning percentage ranks 44th in Class 3A over the past thirteen seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Vinemont has managed to compile a record of 109-147. Their 43.0% winning percentage ranks 42nd in Class 3A and 256th in the AHSAA. The Eagles are led by head coach Stephen Robinson who is entering his seventh season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 25-38 over the past six seasons at Vinemont. Under his direction the Eagles have qualified for the playoffs a total of three times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Robinson. The Eagles should be in contention for a playoff spot in region seven this season. Hosting a first round playoff game on their home turf would be an advantage. The Eagles open the 2023 season on the road against non-region opponent Falkville on Friday, August 25 at Burl Vest Stadium. Last year the Falkville Blue Devils finished with an overall record of 7-5 and in second place in Class 2A region eight. The Blue Devils lost in the second round of the Class 2A playoffs to Aliceville by a score of 38-21. Vinemont and Falkville have met a total of 46 times on the football field.
