Last year Bullock County finished eighth in Class 4A region 2 with a 0-7 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs. Over the past 25 seasons, Bullock County has not won much with a record of 38-209. Their 15.0% winning percentage ranks 59th in Class 4A and 376th in the AHSAA. The Hornets are led by head coach Heath Laney who is entering his first season at the helm. His team finished with a 1-9 record in his first season at Bullock County. The Hornets have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Laney. Coach Laney's overall record as a head football coach in one seasons stands at 1-9 (10.0%). The Hornets enter the 2016 season in the middle of a 9 game losing streak.
