Decatur completed the 2021 season with a 4-7 record. With their 4-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 6A region eight, the Red Raiders earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Decatur's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Clay-Chalkville by a score of 42-0. It marked the first time since the 2018 season that the Red Raiders qualified for the playoffs. Since 2010, Decatur has gone a combined 68-64. Their 51.5% winning percentage ranks 30th in Class 6A over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Decatur has managed to compile a record of 174-111.
