Ider completed the 2021 season with a 7-4 record. With their 4-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 2A region seven, the Hornets earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Ider's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Aliceville by a score of 46-6. The Hornets improved in 2021 with their first winning season since 2017. The Hornets won as many games as in any season since 2014. It marked the first time since the 2017 season that the Hornets qualified for the playoffs. The Hornets hope to continue the success they had last season. Coach Grant saw improvement as they won seven games following a 2-8 record in 2020. Since 2010, Ider has gone a combined 55-70.
