Thorsby completed the 2021 season with a 6-5 record. With their 3-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 2A region three, the Rebels earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Thorsby's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Clarke County by a score of 47-8. The Rebels had some tough luck last season as three of their five losses were by less than eight points. Since 2010, Thorsby has gone a combined 61-67. Their 47.7% winning percentage ranks 29th in Class 2A over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Thorsby has managed to compile a record of 103-157. Their 40.0% winning percentage ranks 44th in Class 2A and 291st in the AHSAA. The Rebels are led by head coach Daryl Davis who is entering his tenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 45-50 over the past nine seasons at Thorsby. Under his direction the Rebels have qualified for the playoffs a total of five times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Davis. Coach Davis' overall record as a head football coach in nine season stands at 45-50 (47.4%). The Thorsby Rebels will play in Class 2A region four during the 2022 season. Following realignment, the Rebels remain in 2A but move from region three over to region four. The Rebels will be in the mix for one of the last two playoff spots in region four this season. The Rebels open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent Jemison on Thursday, August 18 at Susan Bentley Field. Last year the Jemison Panthers finished with an overall record of 1-9 and in seventh place in Class 5A region three. The Panthers ended last season on a positive note with a win over Elmore County by a score of 21-10 after failing to gain a playoff spot. Thorsby and Jemison have met a total of 21 times on the football field. The Rebels have a 4-17-0 record against the Panthers.
