Randolph County reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to St. James by a score of 41-6. Since 2010, Randolph County has gone a combined 114-51. Their 69.1% winning percentage ranks 7th in Class 3A over the past fourteen seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Randolph County has managed to compile a record of 180-108. Their 62.0% winning percentage ranks 11th in Class 3A and 73rd in the AHSAA. Graduated All-State Players: Randolph County lost 3A All-State defensive back Avion Willis to graduation. He was named to the first team last season. Head Coach: The Tigers are led by head coach Pat Prestridge who is entering his nineteenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 151-66 over the past eighteen seasons at Randolph County. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs a total of fourteen times. Season Outlook: The Randolph County Tigers will play in Class 3A region four during the 2024 season. Is this the year of the Tigers from Randolph County. Many fans seem to think it is. They bounced back nicely from a dismal 1-9 season just two years ago and seem to be on the verge of something special. With the AHSAA realignment region 4 has six teams that qualified for the playoffs last year. Four of those teams won at least 10 games. Someone will be left out of the post season come November. The Tigers will have to contend with AHSAA newcomers in Glenwood and Lee-Scott this year. They also are in the same region with B.B. Comer so playoff spots will be at a premium in 2024. The Tigers should be in contention for a playoff spot in region four this season. Hosting a first round playoff game on their home turf would be an advantage. Players to Watch in 2024: RB Amari Molden will be back after rushing for 570 yards and 12 TDs last season. RB Maurice Winston will also be returning for his junior season after rushing for 1,489 yards and 26 TDs last season. LB Matthew White had 85 tackles on defense and will be back for his junior season. Returning Starters: RB/DE Brayden Terrell. RB/DB Ryder Pinson, RB/DB Kimoni Baker, DB Rhett Huddleston, WR/DB Gavin Wortham, TE/LB Devon Fuller, OL/DL Tristan Chappell Season Opener: The Tigers open the 2024 season at home against non-region opponent Woodland on Friday, August 23 at Hulond Humphries Stadium. Last year the Woodland Bobcats finished with an overall record of 3-7 and in sixth place in Class 2A region four. The Bobcats closed out the regular season with a loss to Wadley by a score of 56-21. Randolph County and Woodland have met a total of 80 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 54-24-2 record against the Bobcats. They last met in 2023 with Randolph County winning by a score of 41-0. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
