 2022 Preview 


       Dadeville completed the 2021 season with a 6-4 record. With their 4-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 3A region four, the Tigers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Dadeville's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Slocomb by a score of 28-16.

       Since 2010, Dadeville has gone a combined 85-50. Their 63.0% winning percentage ranks 14th in Class 3A over the past twelve seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Dadeville has managed to compile a record of 169-111. Their 60.0% winning percentage ranks 16th in Class 3A and 89th in the AHSAA.




       The Tigers are led by head coach Roger McDonald who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 12-8 over the past two seasons at Dadeville. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times. They have not won a region crown with Coach McDonald.

       Coach McDonald's overall record as a head football coach in sixteen season stands at 100-69 (59.2%). His 100 wins rank 56th among active coaches in the AHSAA. Over the course of his career, Coach McDonald's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of nine times and won three region championships.

       Dadeville will return about nine starters on defense and seven on offense so the Tigers should have experience at most positions this season.

       The Dadeville Tigers will play in Class 3A region four during the 2022 season.

       The Tigers should be in contention for a playoff spot in region four this season. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game.

       The Tigers open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent B.B. Comer on Friday, August 19 at Tiger Stadium. Last year the B.B. Comer Tigers finished with an overall record of 10-3 and in second place in Class 2A region four. The Tigers lost in the quarter-finals round of the Class 2A playoffs to Clarke County by a score of 14-7.

       Dadeville and B.B. Comer have met a total of 20 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 9-10-1 record against the Tigers. They last met in 2009 with Dadeville winning by a score of 35-7.

       Dadeville returns 3A All-State Senior punter Wardrellis Cox. He was named to the honorable mention team last season.

  


Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Parrish scored a record 77 points in a playoff game against Cedar Bluff in 2001. The Tornados were shutout the following week 19-0 by Courtland.
