 2022 Preview 


       B.B. Comer completed the 2021 season with a 10-3 record. With their 6-1 region record and a second place finish in Class 2A region four, the Tigers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. B.B. Comer lost in the quarter-finals of the playoffs last season to a good Clarke County team by a score of 14-7.

       The Tigers won as many games as in any season since 1995. The 495 points scored by the Tigers last year were a team record in a single season.

       Since 2010, the B.B. Comer football program has struggled with a record of 49-79.

       Over the past 25 seasons, B.B. Comer has not won much with a record of 86-173. Their 33.0% winning percentage ranks 48th in Class 2A and 335th in the AHSAA.




       The Tigers are led by head coach Adam Fossett who is entering his fifth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 27-19 over the past four seasons at B.B. Comer. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs a total of three times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Fossett.

       Coach Fossett's overall record as a head football coach in fourteen season stands at 82-73 (52.9%). Over the course of his career, Coach Fossett's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of nine times and won one region championship.

       Comer returns a lot of talent this season so watch out for the Tigers in 2022.

       The B.B. Comer Tigers will play in Class 2A region four during the 2022 season.

       The Tigers enter the 2022 season having won 6 straight region games.

       The Tigers should be considered one of the favorites for the region four championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs.

       The Tigers open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Dadeville on Thursday, August 18 at Tiger Stadium. Last year the Dadeville Tigers finished with an overall record of 6-4 and in fourth place in Class 3A region four. The Tigers lost in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs to Slocomb by a score of 28-16.

       B.B. Comer and Dadeville have met a total of 20 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 10-9-1 record against the Tigers. They last met in 2009 with Dadeville winning by a score of 35-7.

       B.B. Comer returns 2A All-State Junior running back Kamore Harris. He was named to the first team last season.
